This International Standard specifies safety requirements for wheeled and crawler tractor-dozers, including machines equipped with rear-mounted winches.

ISO 20474-2:2008 specifies safety requirements and protective measures for wheeled and crawler tractor-dozers as defined in ISO 6165, including requirements for rear-mounted winches. It is intended to be used with ISO 20474-1 for general safety requirements and ISO/TS 20474-14 for mandatory national and regional provisions. The document addresses significant hazards during commissioning, operation, and maintenance, and covers winch mounting, controls, operator protection, safety labels, operation manuals, and machine marking.
