It is intended for use with ISO 20474-1, which provides general safety requirements for earth-moving machinery, and ISO/TS 20474-14, which addresses mandatory national and regional provisions.
The standard applies to significant hazards associated with pipelayers during commissioning, operation, maintenance, intended use, and reasonably foreseeable misuse. It includes informative illustrations of crawler, wheeled, side-view, and rotating-upper-structure pipelayers.
