EN 980:2008 Symbols for use in the labelling of medical devices

European standard specifying symbols for information supplied with medical devices.

EN 980:2008 specifies symbols for use in information supplied by medical device manufacturers. It covers general requirements for symbol adoption and use, established labeling symbols, and new symbols, with examples and annexes relating the standard to relevant European medical device directives. This edition supersedes EN 980:2003.

Application Scope: Medical device manufacturers and other organizations preparing or reviewing labeling and accompanying information for medical devices.
