BS EN 12608-1:2026 establishes classifications, material and profile requirements, and test methods for non-covered unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) profiles used in window and door fabrication. It covers climatic zones, artificial weathering resistance, profile dimensions and tolerances, wall thickness, linear weight, heat reversion, heating behavior, weldability, optional properties, traceability, and material performance. The standard includes normative annexes covering material requirements and calculations for radiant exposure and artificial weathering duration. It supersedes EN 12608-1:2016+A1:2020.
