BS EN 13445-11:2026 Unfired pressure vessels Part 11: Additional requirements for pressure vessels of titanium and titanium alloys

This British Standard specifies additional requirements for unfired pressure vessels and their parts made of titanium and titanium alloys.

BS EN 13445-11:2026 is the UK implementation of EN 13445-11:2026 and provides additional requirements for the design, materials, manufacture, inspection, testing, and finishing of unfired pressure vessels and pressure vessel parts made from titanium and titanium alloys. It is intended to be used together with EN 13445-1:2026 through EN 13445-5:2026 and supersedes BS EN 13445-11:2024, which is withdrawn. The standard includes provisions for material specifications and documentation, material grouping, brittle fracture prevention, design stresses, creep design, corrosion and erosion protection, welding and forming, heat treatment, non-destructive testing, hydrostatic testing, and relevant titanium alloy data in informative annexes. Cast materials, hot isostatic pressing, additive manufacturing, and materials in Groups 51.4 and 54 are outside the scope of this edition.

Application Scope: Use by pressure vessel designers, manufacturers, fabricators, inspectors, testing organizations, and compliance professionals working with titanium and titanium alloy pressure equipment under the EN 13445 series and applicable pressure equipment legislation.
