BS EN 13445-3:2021+A1:2026 is the UK implementation of EN 13445-3:2021+A1:2026, covering the design of unfired pressure vessels. The standard addresses basic design criteria, allowable design stresses, shells under internal and external pressure, openings, flat ends, flanges, bolted domed ends, heat exchanger tubesheets, expansion bellows, rectangular vessels, additional non-pressure loads, fatigue, creep, reinforced flat walls, and tall vertical vessels. It also includes normative and informative annexes covering design by analysis, external pressure, flange connections, fatigue assessment, creep design, experimental methods, material properties, and the relationship to Directive 2014/68/EU. This consolidated edition incorporates the applicable corrections and amendments through A1:2026 and supersedes BS EN 13445-3:2021+A1:2025, which is withdrawn.
Application Scope: For engineers, designers, manufacturers, inspectors, and compliance professionals involved in the design and assessment of unfired pressure vessels before service, with appropriate adjustments for in-service calculations or analysis.
