BS EN 13445-4:2026 is the UK implementation of EN 13445-4:2026, covering the fabrication of unfired pressure vessels and their parts made of steel, including connections to non-pressure parts. It addresses material traceability, manufacturing tolerances, welding, permanent joints other than welding, production testing, forming, heat treatment, repairs, finishing operations, and the qualification of mechanical roller expansion procedures and operators.
This edition supersedes BS EN 13445-4:2021+A1:2023, which is withdrawn. It should be used with the other relevant parts of the EN 13445 series, including the requirements for general principles, materials, design, and inspection and testing.
Application Scope: Suitable for pressure vessel manufacturers, fabricators, welding coordinators, inspectors, engineers, quality professionals, subcontractors, and organizations involved in the manufacture and conformity assessment of unfired steel pressure vessels.
