BS EN 13445-5:2026 is the UK implementation of EN 13445-5:2026, covering inspection and testing of individual and serially produced unfired pressure vessels made of steel in accordance with EN 13445-2:2026.
The standard addresses design review, technical documentation, material traceability, fabrication inspection, welding, non-destructive testing, destructive testing, heat treatment, calibration, final assessment, proof testing, marking, declarations of compliance, and document retention. It also includes provisions for serially produced pressure vessels, dimensional requirements, examination openings, leak testing, acoustic emission, creep conditions, cyclic loads, and in-service inspection support.
This edition supersedes BS EN 13445-5:2021+A1:2024, which is withdrawn.
Application Scope: For manufacturers, inspectors, conformity assessment bodies, engineers, and organizations involved in the design, fabrication, inspection, testing, and compliance assessment of unfired steel pressure vessels in the United Kingdom and European regulatory context.
