summary
Spanish standard UNE 36-015-77 specifies requirements for steels used to manufacture hot-formed and heat-treated springs.
description
UNE 36-015-77 defines the grades, chemical composition, mechanical properties, hardenability, heat-treatment conditions, manufacturing requirements, supply conditions, acceptance testing, defect limits, and dimensional tolerances for nonalloy and alloy steels used to manufacture hot-formed and heat-treated springs. The standard covers steel designations including C79, 46Si7, 50Si7, 56Si7, 60Si7, 60SiCr8, 55Cr3, 51CrV4, and 52CrMoV4, with requirements for chemical analysis, tensile testing, Brinell hardness, Jominy hardenability, heat treatment, sampling, inspection, and referenced UNE test methods. This revised March 1977 edition cancels the December 1970 edition.
Application Scope: Use this standard for specification, production, inspection, testing, and acceptance of steel products intended for hot-formed and heat-treated springs.
