What is this standard about?
PAS 500 sets out guidance for any organization wishing to develop and implement a Workplace Travel Plan (WTP).
Who is this standard for?
- Senior management and anyone responsible for a WTP
- Human Resources/sustainability/environmental departments
- Contractors visiting sites
- Delivery vehicle operators
Why should you use this standard?
Finding ways to make the best possible use of the transport infrastructure and minimizing loss of time and economic damage is a clear priority for businesses. A Workplace Travel Plan (WTP), looking at public availability, resources and claims of conformity can help achieve this.
A travel plan is a long-term management strategy for an organization and its various sites that delivers objectives through positive action and regular reviews. It also brings associated benefits to commuters, business travellers and businesses of helping meet the challenges of climate change, congestion and air pollution.
