Based on in-depth experience of developing BS 5839-6, as well as its use in the field, it gives comprehensive guidance and provides full background explanations. It also discusses the practical application of the standard’s recommendations. It guides readers in the requirements to ensure that a fire alarm system is as safe as reasonably possible. It can also help customers to, for example, write specifications and documentation for fire alarm systems.
