Why should you use BS 4531 – Troughed belt conveyors?
Trough Conveyors are designed to help keep loose or bulk materials in the centre of the conveyor. The belt is troughed with rollers, rails, or a slider bed that the belt conforms to. Trough belts are great for conveying loose or bulk materials, especially if the material is abrasive.
BS 4531 provides the power units for the troughed belt conveyors which include: Electric motor drives, motorized pulleys and internal combustion engines (petrol, diesel or gas). It also provides pulleys which include: Pulley face length, pulley diameters, pulley profiles, pulley shell thickness and pulley bearing life. This requirement helps you in the manufacturing of belt conveyors in a standardized manner.
BS 4531 exemplifies the required specification and requirements that help you achieve precision in terms of product functionality.
