What is BS 5369 - Door leaves resistance to climate changes about?
BS 5369 is one of a series of European standards that discuss methods for testing doors.
BS 5369 describes the method which is to be used to test the behaviour, under humidity variations, of door leaves placed in successive uniform climates.
BS 5369 can be applied to all doors which are nominally flat and rigid, and which contain a sufficient quantity of hygroscopic materials that might influence their behaviour during this test.
Who is BS 5369 - Door leaves resistance to climate changes for?
BS 5369 on methods of testing doors is useful for:
- Carpenters
- Interior designers
- Civil engineers
- Testing and inspection personnel
Why should you use BS 5369 - Door leaves resistance to climate changes?
Doors when left exposed to environmental conditions tend to undergo physical changes. These changes could compromise the structural integrity and the functionality of the doors.
BS 5369 describes a test method that helps you identify the changes in general flatness and damages resulting due to exposure to certain climate changes.
Overall, the test method of BS 5369 helps you to identify the door leaves resistance to climate changes.
