What is BS 5598-1 - Liquid halogenated hydrocarbons about?
BS 5598 discusses methods of sampling and testing for halogenated hydrocarbons. BS 5598-1 is the first part of the BS 5598 multi-series and discusses the sampling of liquid products.
BS 5598-1 is applicable to products not contaminated by an extraneous phase (water, solid deposits, etc). However, accidental pollution is also considered, and an initial examination is provided for checking phase homogeneity.
Who is BS 5598-1- Liquid halogenated hydrocarbons for?
BS 5598-1 on sampling procedures for liquid halogenated hydrocarbons is useful for:
- Chemical manufacturers
- Soap and detergent manufacturers
- Testing Laboratories
Why should you use BS 5598-1- Liquid halogenated hydrocarbons?
The principal is the formation of a blended bulk sample, representing the whole of the batch, by mixing several elementary samples. The number and the method of taking the elementary samples will depend on the number and capacity of vessels containing the product.
BS 5598-1 provides you with the sampling procedures for liquid halogenated hydrocarbons for industrial use, with the exception of liquefied gases. BS 5598-1 provides you with the apparatus and the procedures to be used when taking a sample of liquid halogenated hydrocarbons from small containers (cans, drums), large containers (cylinders, tanks), and continuous sampling. BS 5598-1 helps with the sampling of liquid halogenated hydrocarbons.
