BS 5656-1:1997

BS 5656-1:1997 specifies requirements for the testing and examination of new escalators and passenger conveyors covered by BS EN 115, before the equipment is put into service. This part does not specify such requirements for the testing and examination of equipment after modernization (this is dealt with in part 2) or for periodic examination.
