This part of BS 6501 gives guidance on the installation of corrugated metal hose assemblies and on the selection of the method of construction, the flexibility type and the material used for the hose.

This British Standard includes a high temperature resistance test for hose assemblies.

This British Standard supersedes BS 6501-1:1991 which is withdrawn. This part of BS 6501 is complementary to BS EN ISO 10380.
