What is BS 662-3 - Sulphur compounds, benzene and hydrocarbons in carbon disulphide about?
BS 662 discusses carbon disulphide for industrial use. BS 662-3 is the third part of the BS 662 multi-series and discusses additional methods of testing.
BS 662-3 specifies methods for the determination of sulphur compounds, benzene and hydrocarbons in carbon disulphide for industrial use.
Who is BS 662-3- Sulphur compounds, benzene and hydrocarbons in carbon disulphide for?
BS 662-3 on the determination of sulphur compounds, benzene and hydrocarbons in carbon disulphide for industrial use is useful for:
- Chemical manufacturers
- Testing Laboratories
Why should you use BS 662-3- Sulphur compounds, benzene and hydrocarbons in carbon disulphide?
Carbon disulphide is a highly flammable volatile liquid with a low flash point, a wide explosive range, and an auto-ignition temperature lower than 120 °C. Contact with exposed steam lines or the surface of an ordinary electric light bulb can cause ignition.
BS 662-3 provides you with the methods for the determination of hydrogen sulphide, sulphur dioxide, thiophene, benzene, hydrocarbons and mercaptans (thiols) from carbon disulphide. BS 662-3 helps you determine the sulphur compounds, benzene and hydrocarbons in carbon disulphide for industrial use.
