What is BS 6911-7 – units of measurement for earth moving machinery about?
Earthmoving equipment is heavy equipment, typically heavy-duty vehicles designed for construction operations that involve earthworks. BS 6911-7 is an International Standard that discusses the testing of earth-moving machinery.
BS 6911-7 is the seventh part of the multi-series, and specifies basic units, symbols, and tolerances for the measurements of general machine dimensions, performance, and capacities of earth-moving machinery as defined in ISO 6165.
Note: BS 6911-7 does not cover the methods and instrumentation to be used.
Who is BS 6911-7 - units of measurement for earth moving machinery for?
BS 6911-7 on units of measurement for earth moving machinery is useful for:
- Manufacturers and suppliers of earthmoving machinery
- Transporters of earthmoving machinery
- Product design engineers
- Mechanical engineers
- Owners and operators of earthmoving machinery
- Contractors
- Project managers
- Maintenance crews
