What is BS 6913-3 - tractor-dozer cutting edges shapes and dimensions about?
Earthmoving equipment speeds up civil engineering or building projects and reduces the amount of manpower needed. BS 6913-3 is an International Standard that discusses the operation and maintenance of earth-moving machinery.
BS 6913-3 is the third part of the multi-series that specifies:
- The principal shapes and dimensions of the cross-section
- The hole location for the mounting bolts
- The shapes and dimensions of holes for the mounting bolts
for cutting used on tractor-dozers, graders, and scrapers, as defined in ISO 6165, taking interchangeability into consideration.
Who is BS 6913-3 - tractor-dozer cutting edges shapes and dimensions for?
BS 6913-3 on tractor-dozer cutting edges shapes and dimensions is useful for:
- Manufacturers and suppliers of earthmoving machinery
- Product design engineers
- Mechanical engineers
- Project managers
- Maintenance crews
- Quality control and testing personnel
Why should you use BS 6913-3 - tractor-dozer cutting edges shapes and dimensions?
For earthmoving machinery such as tractor dozers, graders, and scrapers to perform optimally, their cutting edges need to be precisely proportioned.
BS 6913-3 provides guidance on cross-sections of cutting edges - principal shapes and basic dimensions, mounting bolts - hole locations, mounting bolt holes - shapes and dimensions.
BS 6913-3 helps to mitigate risks to life and property during the operations and maintenance of earthmoving equipment, ensuring that projects proceed smoothly and without accidents.
