What is BS 7006 - Specifications for trailed agricultural rollers about?
BS 7006 is an international standard that covers the specifications for trailed agricultural rollers that enables flattening land and breaking up large clumps of soil in agricultural applications.
BS 7006 specifies the characteristics of coupling devices and lays down dimensions for the section width of trailed agricultural rollers used for working the soil.
Who is BS 7006 - Specifications for trailed agricultural rollers for?
BS 7006 on the specifications for trailed agricultural rollers applies to:
- Manufacturers of trailed agricultural rollers
- Manufacturers of coupling devices
- Dealers and importers of trailed agricultural rollers
- Testing houses for trailed agricultural rollers
- Safety and quality assurance services
Why should you use BS 7006 - Specifications for trailed agricultural rollers?
In agriculture, trailed tractor rollers are used before and after each sowing procedure to shred big soil particles from the soil's pre-sowing preparation. This also results in significant soil surface levelling and evening, as well as a thickening of the soil layer.
BS 7006 provides users guidance on general requirements, including front mounted coupling half design, rear-mounted coupling halves design, vertical axis, transverse and longitudinal axes, hitch height, and drawbar jacks, enabling the standardization of coupling devices for improved connectivity and connection strength.
BS 7006 provides users guidance on section dimensions for ring holes, hitch length, section width, and examples of hitching with three or five sections, enabling users to design coupling devices.
With obedience and compliance to BS 7006, users can develop and assess trailed agricultural rollers, enabling structural integrity and prevention of clumps in soil in agricultural applications.
