What is BS 7334-5 - Accuracy in use of optical plumbing instruments about?
BS 7334-5 is the fifth part of the multiple series that specifies test procedures to be adopted when determining and assessing the accuracy in the use of optical plumbing instruments (optical plummets) for measurement purposes. The procedures given in BS 7334-5 of ISO 8322 apply when these instruments are used in building construction for surveying, check and compliance measurements, and also when obtaining accurate data.
Who is BS 7334-5 - Accuracy in use of optical plumbing instruments for?
BS 7334-5 on accuracy in the use of optical plumbing instruments is useful for:
- Construction industries
- Civil engineers
- Contractors
- Builders
- Designers
- Testing laboratories of plumbing instruments
- Manufacturers of plumbing instruments
Why should you use BS 7334-5 - Accuracy in use of optical plumbing instruments?
BS 7334-5 specifies three types of optical plumbing instruments i.e., Instruments with a spirit-level Instruments with one compensator, and Instruments with two compensators.
BS 7334-5 specifies test procedures to be adopted when determining and assessing the accuracy in the use of optical plumbing instruments (optical plummets) for measurement purposes and procedures for instruments that are used in building construction for surveying, and check and compliance measurements, and also when obtaining accurate data. BS 7334-5 recommends that the test measurements under field conditions establish the accuracy achieved when you use a particular measuring instrument and its ancillary equipment.
Overall, BS 7334-5 will assist you in ascertaining whether particular measuring equipment is appropriate to intend measuring tasks and help you in assessing the accuracy in the use of measuring instruments in general use on construction sites.
