What is BS 7455-7 – Nickel alloys about?
BS 7455-7 standard is a part of the BS 7455 series that discusses the method for the determination of aluminum for analysis of nickel alloys by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Nickel alloys containing 72-83% nickel have the best soft magnetic properties and are used in transformers, inductors, magnetic amplifiers, magnetic shields and memory storage devices.
BS 7455-7 applies a flame atomic absorption spectrometric method for the determination of aluminum in the range of 0,2 % (m/m) to 4 % (m/m) in nickel alloys. The general requirements concerning the apparatus, sampling, dissolution of the test sample, atomic absorption measurements, calculations and test report are given in ISO 7530-1.
Who is BS 7455-7 – Nickel alloys for?
BS 7455-7 on the determination of aluminum for nickel alloys applies to:
- Manufacturer of nickel alloys
- Suppliers and distributors
- Quality testing personnel
Why should you use BS 7455-7 – Nickel alloys?
Nickel alloys containing 72-83% nickel have the best soft magnetic properties and are used in transformers, inductors, magnetic amplifiers, magnetic shields and memory storage devices.
BS 7455-7 provides you with the principle of dissolution of a test portion in acid, filtration and aspiration of the test solution into a nitrous oxide-acetylene flame of an atomic absorption spectrometer. This helps you in the method for the determination of aluminum for analysis of nickel alloys by flame atomic absorption spectrometry.
BS 6783-14 provides you with comprehensive guidance useful throughout the process of the method for the determination of aluminum for the Analysis of nickel alloys by flame atomic absorption spectrometry.
