What is BS 7562-2 - Acquisition of site data in irrigation schemes about?
BS 7562-2 is a standard that covers the acquisition of site data in irrigation schemes, enabling the development of a stable framework for uniform water distribution and efficient performance in irrigation applications.
BS 7562-2 identifies basic site data which need to be acquired and analysed to enable the designer, consultant, supplier or customer to check and confirm all site parameters and features that need to be observed for the planning, design and installation of irrigation schemes.
Who is BS 7562-2 - Acquisition of site data in irrigation schemes for?
BS 7562-2 on the acquisition of site data in irrigation schemes applies to:
- Irrigation supply departments
- Irrigation engineers
- Irrigation consultants
- Irrigation equipment manufacturers
- Suppliers of irrigation equipment
- Testing houses for irrigation equipment
- Irrigation audit services
Why should you use BS 7562-2 - Acquisition of site data in irrigation schemes?
Choosing an irrigation system (pump, motor, pipeline, water application equipment) that meets requirements needs appropriate site data for analysis and evaluation. Pressure requirements for irrigation systems and sprinkler choices are dependent on soil, topography and other factors.
BS 7562-2 provides users guidance on the development of irrigation systems, including general requirements, system design only, equipment supply, equipment installation, system design and more, enabling planning and execution of irrigation system development for improved performance and stable operability.
BS 7562-2 provides users guidance on sources of information for site data, including site plan, climate, soil, crops, system operation, and water source, enabling users to implement an appropriate irrigation system depending on the location, topography and other factors for efficient irrigation operations.
With obedience and compliance to BS 7562-2, users can acquire site data for the installation and implementation of irrigation schemes, ensuring operational stability, efficiency and optimization of irrigation applications depending on the requirements for particular site location and topography.
