Who is BS 7586 - Combination wrenches for?
BS 7586 on the specification for combination wrenches is useful for:
- Manufacturers of hardware tools
- Designers of combination wrenches
- Quality control personnel
Why should you use BS 7586 - Combination wrenches?
Combination wrenches are used to fasten or unfasten nuts and bolts of a specific size. Dimensions are of utmost importance for combination wrenches as they make the combination wrench applicable for a specific sized nut or bolt. Any major deviation in dimensions can completely eliminate the functionality of the wrench.
BS 7586 provides dimensions and tolerance limits for combination wrenches this can help you to Minimize the possibility of deformations and deviations in the structure size of the combination wrenches. BS 7586 also provides guidance for material requirements, hardness and finish, and marking specifications for combination wrenches which can be used in production, quality control and packaging phases. BS 7586 also provides a test method to verify the resistance to torque of the combination wrenches.
Overall, the guidelines of BS 7586 enable you to produce high-quality defect-free combination wrenches.
