What is BS 7725-2.2 - Radiographic cassettes, film changers, film-screen contact, and relative sensitivity of the screen-cassette assembly about?
BS 7725 is a European standard that discusses evaluation and routine testing in medical imaging departments. BS 7725-2.2 applies to radiographic cassettes and to film changers used to record an x-ray pattern on radiographic film by direct radiography.
BS 7725-2.2 also applies to radiographic cassettes and film changers that are equipped with an intensifying screen(s).
BS 7725-2.2 is a part of a series of Publications (standards and technical reports) that describes test methods for the constancy of properties of various subsystems of diagnostic x-ray equipment, as described in IEC 1223-1.
Note: BS 7725-2.2 does not apply to specialised radiographic cassettes such as mammographic cassettes, multi-section cassettes, and cassettes used in dental panoramic tomography. BS 7725-2.2 application to radiographic cassettes with an integrated anti-scatter grid may not give satisfactory results.
Who is BS 7725-2.2 - Radiographic cassettes, film changers, film-screen contact, and relative sensitivity of the screen-cassette assembly for?
BS 7725-2.2 on radiographic cassettes, film changers, film-screen contact, and relative sensitivity of the screen-cassette assembly is useful for:
- Manufacturers of radiographic cassettes, film changers, and film-screen contact
- Design engineers
- Medical imaging departments
Why should you use BS 7725-2.2 - Radiographic cassettes, film changers, film-screen contact, and relative sensitivity of the screen-cassette assembly?
Radiographic cassettes are rectangular or square plastic or metallic container used to hold x-ray films and intensifying screens in close and uniform contact with one another.
BS 7725-2.2 assists you with the general condition of radiographic cassettes, intensifying screens, and intensifying screens in film changers.
BS 7725-2.2 also guides you in checking the constancy of adequate contact in film-screen combinations and checking the relative sensitivity of intensifying screen(s) and associated radiographic cassettes.
With obedience and compliance to BS 7725-2.2, you can do proper evaluate radiographic cassettes, film changers, film-screen contact, and the relative sensitivity of the screen-cassette assembly. In addition, ensure that the highest quality image is not compromised by outside light.
