What is BS 7767 - Partially type-tested assemblies about?
BS 7767 is a technical report which describes an extrapolation method for assessing the short circuit withstand strength of partially type-tested assemblies (PTTA).
Various methods of extrapolation can be conceived and are acceptable. The method described in BS 7767 is one such method and may be used for partially type-tested assemblies to prove compliance with the requirements of 7.5.1 of IEC 439-1.
Who is BS 7767 - Partially type-tested assemblies for?
BS 7767 on partially type-tested assemblies is helpful for:
- Manufacturing factories
- Mechanical engineering units
- Research and experimentation laboratories
- Telecommunication industries
Why should you use BS 7767 - Partially type-tested assemblies?
Having access to reliable guidelines is essential for properly assessing the short-circuit withstand strength of partially type-tested assemblies (PTTA). BS 7767 provides manufacturers with reference documents, method of extrapolation, and the conditions for application, which allows them to effectively assess the short-circuit withstand strength of partially type-tested assemblies (PTTA).
