What is BS EN 12560-1- Non-metallic flat gaskets with or without inserts about?
BS EN 12560 is a European standard on flanges and their joints that discusses gaskets for class-designated flanges. BS EN 12560-1 is the first part of a multi-part series that specifies the dimensions, types, designation and marking of non-metallic flat gaskets, with or without insertion, for use with flanges following prEN 1759-1:2000, prEN 1759-3:1994 and prEN 1759-4:1994, for Class designations Class 150, Class 300, Class 600 and Class 900 for nominal sizes DN 15 to DN 600 to manufacture gaskets of acceptable standards.
Who is BS EN 12560-1 - Non-metallic flat gaskets with or without inserts for?
BS EN 12560-1 on non-metallic flat gaskets with or without inserts is relevant to:
- Non-metallic flat gaskets manufacturers
- Flanges manufacturers
- Petrochemical industries
- Rubber industry
Why should you use BS EN 12560-1- Non-metallic flat gaskets with or without inserts?
A non-metallic gasket relates to a gasket material that is easily compressed under bolt load. It uses zero metal in its composition. Non- Metallic Gaskets are used in a large range of applications such as pipe flanges, compressors, and bonnet valves.
BS EN 12560-1 provides you with a range of Class designations, a range of gasket sizes, and information to be supplied by the purchaser. BS EN 12560-1 also provides gasket designs and materials and gasket types.
This assists in manufacturing efficient non-metallic flat gaskets that are durable and of high quality.
BS EN 12560-1 provides you with appropriate thickness, diameters, and tolerances of non-metallic flat gaskets that prevent wastage due to manufacturing gaskets of incorrect size and save time and effort.
With compliance to BS EN 12560-1, you can enhance the efficacy of non-metallic flat gaskets with or without inserts for use with class designated flanges and manufacture a standardized product that has global acceptance in the market.
