BS EN 13284-1:2002

BS EN 13284-1:2002 specifies a reference method for the measurement of low dust concentration in ducted gaseous streams in concentrations below 50 mg/m3 standard conditions. This method has been validated with special emphasis around 5 mg/m3 on an average half hour sampling time.

This standard has primarily been developed and validated for gaseous streams emitted by waste incinerators. It may be applied to gases emitted from stationary sources, and to higher concentrations.

If the gases contain unstable, reactive or semi-volatile substances, the measurement depends on the sampling and filter treatment conditions.
