What is BS EN 14650 - Rules for factory production control of metallic fibered concrete about?
BS EN 14650 is a European Standard on precast concrete products. The main aim of BS EN 14650 is to provide the best industry guidance on ensuring precast concrete products are reliable for its intended use.
BS EN 14650 defines the general rules for factory production control of metallic fibered concrete.
Note: BS EN 14650 does not specify the conformity control procedure for the finished metallic fibered concrete products, for which reference should be made to European product standards or, if none, to the technical specifications defined and agreed between the customer and the manufacturer.
Who is BS EN 14650 - Rules for factory production control of metallic fibered concrete for?
BS EN 14650 on rules for factory production control of metallic fibered concrete is useful for:
- Manufacturers of concrete and concrete products
- Manufacturers and suppliers of metals
- Cement and concrete industry
- Construction materials manufacturers
- Civil engineers
- Contractors
- Inspection and certification bodies
- Quality control and testing personnel
Why should you use BS EN 14650 - Rules for factory production control of metallic fibered concrete?
Metallic fibered concrete is any concrete that contains fibrous material, with the goal of increasing structural integrity and decreasing the chance of cracking.
Planning and control are critical components of an operation unit's success. Factory production control of metallic fibered concrete seeks to employ various types of control techniques in order to get optimum concrete performance from the production system in order to meet overall production planning targets.
In this regard, BS EN 14650 covers the concrete production requirements, batching of constituent materials and factory production control including inspection of equipment, materials, production process and finished products.
As a result, if you are a manufacturer of precast concrete products, complying with BS EN 14650 can help demonstrate the performance and quality of your product, ensuring that they are fit for purpose.
As a result, guidelines and inspections are required to maintain the quality of metallic fibered concrete and, ultimately, to produce quality maintenance and improvement in construction materials.
