What is BS EN 15529 - Derivatives from coal pyrolysis about?
BS EN 15529 discusses derivatives from coal pyrolysis. Coal pyrolysis involves subjecting coal to a high temperature of 400–450°C, in the absence of oxygen.
BS EN 15529 defines the principal terms concerning derivatives from coal pyrolysis.
Who is BS EN 15529 - Derivatives from coal pyrolysis for?
BS EN 15529 on derivatives from coal pyrolysis is useful for:
- Gas production industries
- Coal mining stations
- Chemical industries
- Thermochemical industries
- Quality control personnel
Why should you use BS EN 15529 - Derivatives from coal pyrolysis?
Coal pyrolysis states that when oxygen or steam is present, coal will start burning, and the process is no longer known as pyrolysis but rather referred to as combustion and gasification. Pyrolysis is a thermochemical treatment, which can be applied to any organic (carbon-based) product. It can be done on pure products as well as mixtures. In this treatment, the material is exposed to high temperatures, and in the absence of oxygen goes through chemical and physical separation into different molecules. BS EN 15529 defines terms and definitions of crude tar, coal tar, low-temperature coal tar, lignite tar, etc. Using BS EN 15529 you can define the principal terms concerning derivatives from coal pyrolysis.
