What is BS EN 15562 - Cyanamide nitrogen in fertilizers about?
BS EN 15562 is a standard that serves technical specifications for determining cyanamide nitrogen in fertilizers that facilitates absorption of nitrogen and nutrients in the plant root zone.
BS EN 15562 specifies a method for the determination of cyanamide nitrogen in fertilizers. BS EN 15562 method is applicable to calcium cyanamide and calcium cyanamide/nitrate mixtures.
Who is BS EN 15562 - Cyanamide nitrogen in fertilizers for?
BS EN 15562 on cyanamide nitrogen in fertilizers applies to:
- Manufacturers of fertilizers
- Dealers and importers of fertilizers
- Testing labs for fertilizers
- Quality assurance services
- Regulatory bodies
Why should you use BS EN 15562 - Cyanamide nitrogen in fertilizers?
Calcium cyanamide is a chemical substance found in agricultural fertilizers. In soil, calcium cyanamide decomposes into chemicals that aid in plant growth. It is used to counter soil born diseases and prevents yield and quality losses during increasingly tight crop rotations.
BS EN 15562 provides users guidance on the x method. BS EN 15562 also provides users with a step-by-step procedure for the method, enabling users to do the method correctly.
BS EN 15562 provides users guidance on principle, apparatus, sampling, sample preparation, procedure, calculation, expression of results and test report, enabling accurate determination of nitrogen content that facilitates nutrient absorption in plants.
With obedience and compliance of BS EN 15562, users can assess cyanamide nitrogen in fertilizers, enabling the prevention of soil born diseases and improving crop yields in agricultural yields.
What’s changed since the last update?
BS EN 15562:2009 supersedes DD CEN/TS 15562:2007, which is now withdrawn.
