What is BS EN 17132 – PAH from textile about?
BS EN 17132 specifies a method to determine the amounts of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in components of textile products. This method has been elaborated to achieve a limit of quantification of 0,1 mg/kg.
Who is BS EN 17132– PAH from textile for?
BS EN 17132 on PAH from textile is useful for:
- Textile products manufacturers
- Textile testing laboratories
- Environment protection department
- Product development / innovation / research teams
- Quality control teams
Why should you use BS EN 17132– PAH from textile?
As components of synthetic dyes, PAHs are present as contaminants in textile dyeing sludge due to the challenge in the wastewater treatment process, which may pose a threat to the environment in the process of sludge disposal. BS EN 17132 helps to determine the PAHs from textile as among all pollutants, PAHs should be paid more attention, because there are substantial amounts of PAHs in dyes. The solubility of PAHs in water is low and decreases with the increase of molecular weight. BS EN 17132 enables you to cause less water waste and cannot harm that much to the environment and can make up to produce an environment-friendly good in the market.
