1 Scope and field of application This International Standard specifies the mechanical properties of bolts, screws, studs and nuts

• — with nominal thread diameters, d, from M1,6 to M39 inclusive;
• — with metric ISO thread in accordance with ISO 261;
• — made of copper and copper alloys or aluminium and aluminium alloys.

It does not apply to bolts, screws, studs and nuts with special property requirements such as

• — corrosion resistance;
• — electrical conductivity.
