What is BS EN 4529‑002-Product standards for sealing plugs for elements of electrical and optical connection about?
BS EN 4529 is a European standard on aerospace series that discusses sealing plugs of the electrical and optical connection. BS EN 4529‑002 provides the best industry guidance on the index of product standards for sealing plugs to ensure their safety and effectiveness.
BS EN 4529‑002 is the second part of a multi-part series that lists the product standards for sealing plugs for elements of electrical and optical connection covered by technical specification EN 4529-001.
Under BS EN 4529‑002, the purpose of a sealing plug is to ensure that all unused connector cavities are sealed off and remain dry to ensure the integrity of the electrical connector in a harsh operating environment.
Who is BS EN 4529‑002-Product standards for sealing plugs for elements of electrical and optical connection for?
BS EN 4529‑002 on product standards for sealing plugs for elements of electrical and optical connection is useful for:
- Aerospace manufacturers
- Sealing plugs manufacturers
- Aerospace technician
- Installation personnel of electrical circuits
- Servicemen of electrical connections
- Safety regulatory bodies
Why should you use BS EN 4529‑002-Product standards for sealing plugs for elements of electrical and optical connection?
Aerospace electrical connectors sustain intense vibration during takeoff, flight, and landing, while also being subject to harsh environmental conditions which include salt fog, corrosive vapours, and various fluids. Due to these conditions, all unused cavities in aerospace electrical connectors must be “closed off” using sealing plugs, to ensure the integrity and longevity of the connectors.
BS EN 4529‑002 provides you with all the required data about sealing plugs for elements of the electrical and optical connection for manufacturing efficient and durable sealing plugs.
With compliance and obedience to BS EN 4529‑002, you can ensure trust in the reliability of the aerospace industry by demonstrating their safety and effectiveness, and ultimately the protection of the people who use them. In addition, you can ensure the integrity of the electrical connector in a harsh operating environment.
