This European Standard specifies the chemical composition limits of wrought aluminium and aluminium alloys.

The chemical composition limits of aluminium and aluminium alloys specified are completely identical with those registered with the Aluminum Association, Washington D.C. 20006, USA, for the corresponding alloys.

Requirements are given on writing rules, alloy desinations, the sequence of elements and rounding rules for the determination of compliance.
