What is BS EN 60512-15-1 - Assessing the effectiveness of the contact retaining about?
Electrical connectors are used to join electrical conductors to create an electrical circuit. BS EN 60512-15-1 deals with the testing of connectors within the scope of technical committee 48, when required by the detailed specification. This test in BS EN 60512-15-1 may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detailed specification.
The object of BS EN 60512-15-1 is to detail a standard test method to assess the effectiveness of the contact retaining system to withstand axial loads likely to be encountered during normal use. The contact retaining system may retain the contact in an insert or directly into housing.
Who is BS EN 60512-15-1 - Assessing the effectiveness of the contact retaining system for?
BS EN 60512-15-1 on assessing the effectiveness of the contact retaining system is useful for:
- Manufacturers of electronic devices
- Maintenance and augmentation teams
- Companies associated with designing and installation of electronic devices
- Fault management teams
- Quality management teams
Why should you use BS EN 60512-15-1 - Assessing the effectiveness of the contact retaining system?
Electronic equipment is used in applications that rely on mechanical or electric systems for their operation. They are essential to any work on electronics systems for creating signals and capturing responses from electronic devices. There are certain specifications regarding the performance of electronic equipment.
