What is BS EN IEC 63032 - fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components about?
BS EN IEC 63032 discusses fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components. Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components is a fibre optic telecommunications technology for delivering broadband network access to end-customers. BS EN IEC 63032 applies to the family of tuneable bandpass filters. These components can modify the spectral intensity distribution in order to select some wavelengths and inhibit others. They can be categorized into the following:
- Wavelength tuneable
- Bandwidth tuneable
- Wavelength and bandwidth tuneable filter
BS EN IEC 63032 establishes uniform requirements for optical, mechanical, and environmental properties.
Who is BS EN IEC 63032 - fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components for?
BS EN IEC 63032 on Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components is useful for:
- Telecommunication equipment manufacturers
- Telecommunication component manufacturers
- Design engineers
- Quality control personnel
Why should you use BS EN IEC 63032 - fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components?
Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components architecture implements a point-to-multipoint topology in which a single optical fiber serves multiple endpoints by using unpowered (passive) fibre optic splitters to divide the fiber bandwidth among the endpoints. BS EN IEC 63032 discusses Fibre optic tuneable bandpass filters which are classified either totally or in part into type and style. The tuneable bandpass filter style is defined on the basis of the input and output port configuration and the connector set type(s), if any.
BS EN IEC 63032 contain a series of tests and measurements (which may or may not be grouped into a specified schedule depending on the requirements of those standards) with clearly defined conditions, severities, and pass/fail criteria. The tests are intended to be run on a "one-off" basis to prove the ability of any products to satisfy the performance standards requirement. Each performance standard has a different set of tests, and/or severities (and/or groupings) representing the requirements of a market sector, user group or system location. Using BS EN IEC 63032 you can understand the family of fibre optic tuneable bandpass filters.
