What is BS EN IEC 63159‑2‑2 about?
BS EN IEC 63159 discusses household electric instantaneous water heaters. BS EN IEC 63159‑2‑2 is the second part of BS EN IEC 63159 multi-series and discusses the methods for measuring the performance.
BS EN IEC 63159‑2‑2 applies to open outlet, single point-of-use, electric instantaneous water heaters intended for household or similar use, for showering purposes without downstream mixing.
Note: BS EN IEC 63159‑2‑2 does not apply to electrical instantaneous water heaters covered by other parts of this series of standards.
Who is BS EN IEC 63159‑2‑2?
BS EN IEC 63159‑2‑2 on household electric instantaneous water heaters — methods for measuring the performance (Part 2-2: Efficiency of a single point of use electric instantaneous water heaters) is useful for:
- Water heater manufacturers
- Quality control personnel
Why should you use BS EN IEC 63159‑2‑2?
The instant water heater can cut monthly bills significantly with their energy efficiency, saving not only the money but also the energy. You can save around 20-50% energy by switching over to an instant water heater.
BS EN IEC 63159‑2‑2 specifies tests for the assessment of energy efficiency. BS EN IEC 63159‑2‑2 provides multiple tests and parameters that help you in assessing the efficiency of the heater and the results would tell if the heater requires improvement in efficiency or not.
