What is BS EN IEC 63182-3 - Guidelines on dimensions and the limits of E-core about?
BS EN IEC 63182-3 discusses magnetic powder cores and guidelines on dimensions and the limits of surface irregularities with a focus on e-cores.
BS EN IEC 63182-3 is the third part in a multi-series on magnetic powder cores that specifies the dimensions that are of importance for mechanical interchangeability for a preferred range of e-cores made of metallic magnetic powder, the essential dimensions of coil formers to be used with them as well as the effective parameter values to be used in calculations involving them and gives guidelines on allowable limits of surface irregularities applicable to E-cores.
The primary standard given in the main text establishes values for the main dimensions of E-cores and coil formers and enables full interchangeability to be achieved for components complying with BS EN IEC 63182-3.
Who is BS EN IEC 63182-3 - Guidelines on dimensions and the limits of E-core for?
BS EN IEC 63182-3 on the guidelines on dimensions and the limits of E-core is useful for:
- Electrical industries
- Manufacturers of electrical applications
- Electrical engineers
Why should you use BS EN IEC 63182-1 - Guidelines on dimensions and the limits of E-core?
The magnetic core is a specific design of magnetic material in a particular shape that possesses high magnetic permeability. It is made of ferromagnetic metal such as iron, or ferrimagnetic compounds such as ferrites. The high permeability, relative to the surrounding air, causes the magnetic field lines to be concentrated in the core material.
BS EN IEC 63182-3 is a specification useful in the negotiations between magnetic powder core suppliers and users about surface irregularities.
The use of "derived" standards which give more detailed specifications of component parts while still permitting compliance with standards is discussed in BS EN IEC 63182-3.
With obedience and compliance to BS EN IEC 63182-3, you can achieve improved permeability, and enhance the performance, energy efficiency and reliability of the product end-use.
