What is ISO 12625-7 about?
ISO 12625-7 is the seventh part of a multi-series standard. It deals with the determination of the optical properties of tissue paper and tissue products.
ISO 12625-7 specifies testing procedures for the instrumental determination of brightness and color tissue paper and tissue products viewed under outdoor daylight conditions.
ISO 12625-7 also gives specific instructions for the preparation of test pieces and for the optical measurements of products, where special precautions can be necessary.
Who is ISO 12625-7 for?
ISO 12625-7 on optical properties for tissue products is applicable to:
- Manufacturer of tissue products
- Suppliers, dealers and importers of tissue products
- Testing laboratories/ test providers for tissue products and tissue paper
Why should you use ISO 12625-7?
ISO 12625-7 gives you information on apparatus, calibration, sampling, conditioning, procedure and calculation of measurement of brightness and color which helps to standardize the quality of the tissue products.
ISO 12625-7 enables you to maintain the uniformity of the tissue products.
What’s changed since the last update?
BS EN ISO 12625-7:2021 supersedes BS EN ISO 12625-7:2014, which is now withdrawn.
Changes in BS EN ISO 12625-7:2021 include -
- Alternative formulae for calculating single color value are removed as they were not relevant for tissue paper
