What is ISO 13263 - Test method for impact strength of thermoplastics fittings about?
ISO 13263 specifies a method for testing the impact resistance of fittings by dropping them on to a rigid surface. For a fitting with seal-retaining components, such as seal-retaining caps or rings, the method includes assessment of the water tightness of the fittings when the fixing elements show damage as a result of the test.
ISO 13263 is applicable to fittings made from thermoplastic materials intended to be used for buried and above-ground applications.
Who is ISO 13263 - Test method for impact strength of thermoplastics fittings for?
ISO 13263 on thermoplastics piping system is useful for:
- Thermoplastics piping systems manufacturers
- Thermoplastics piping systems suppliers
- Entities dealing with the thermoplastics piping system
Why should you use ISO 13263 - Test method for impact strength of thermoplastics fittings?
Thermoplastic Piping Systems are environmentally sound, easy, and safe to install, reliable, long-lasting, and cost-effective. Thermoplastic piping is most common in non-industrial underground applications throughout the world. To avoid the potential problems from occurring it is important to test the impact resistance of thermoplastics fittings.
ISO 13263 helps you with the test method for testing the impact resistance of fittings to suitability for service and to quality of processing. ISO 13263 provides a relative measure of a material's resistance to breakage during handling and installation and, for non-buried applications, to in-service breakage. ISO 13263 not only increases trust and reliability but also helps in improving the efficiency and reducing repair costs of non-pressure piping systems.
Overall, ISO 13263 conducts the method for testing the impact resistance of fittings to ensure the safe and efficient use of thermoplastic materials.
