What is BS EN ISO 14644-5:2025 - Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments about?
BS EN ISO 14644-5:2025 specifies the requirements for the Operations Control Programme (OCP) essential for maintaining the cleanliness levels of cleanrooms and controlled environments.
It sets out comprehensive operational procedures that ensure contamination control during day-to-day operations within cleanrooms. While it does not directly address energy or sustainability (covered in other parts like ISO 14644-4 and 14644-16), it is central to effective cleanroom management.
Who is BS EN ISO 14644-5:2025 - Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments for?
The standard is primarily intended for:
- Cleanroom end users and operators.
- Quality assurance and compliance professionals.
- Designers and specifiers of cleanrooms (for operational background).
- Maintenance engineers and facilities management.
- Quality control personnel (especially those involved in monitoring).
- Auditors (as a checklist framework).
It is applicable across various sectors such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, electronics, aerospace, and research laboratories—essentially any field that uses controlled environments.
What does BS EN ISO 14644-5:2025 - Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments cover?
