What is ISO 14920 about?
ISO 14920 is an international standard that defines the procedure for thermal spraying of self-fluxing alloys that are simultaneously or subsequently fused to create a homogeneous, diffusion bonded coating.
Who is ISO 14920 for?
ISO 14920 on thermal spraying is applicable to:
- Manufacturers of thermal sprayed coatings
- Aerospace Industry
- Manufacturers stationary gas turbine
- Automotive Industry
- Machinery construction,
- Printing and chemical
- Oil extraction and refining fluid control industries,
- Steel construction in the field of off-shore and on-shore
Why should you use ISO 14920?
Metals are prone to degradation with usage and time. Thermal spraying is a method used to prevent this wear.
ISO 14920 provides quality assurance of the entire thermal spraying process for different applications.
ISO 14920 improves quality for thermal spraying processes which are widely applied for producing industrial products for preventive protection of surfaces from corrosion, erosion.
ISO 14920 is used to manufacture quality thermal sprayed coatings that protect against high temperatures and chemical attacks, as well as for aesthetic and electrical purposes.
