A dental tweezer is a hand-guided dental instrument designed to grasp, hold, or transfer items and/or material into and out of the oral cavity. College-type dental tweezers are a special design of dental tweezers with a straight shank and angled or curved working end. Meriam type dental tweezers are a special design of dental tweezers with angulated shank and contra-angulated working end.
ISO 15098 guidelines help you with requirements, materials, hardness, measurements, marking, labelling, and instruction for use. ISO 15098 also provides test methods such as resistance to reprocessing, closing, and opening forces. The guidelines and tests discussed in ISO 15098 help you with specifications for manufacturing dental tweezers.
