What is ISO 15192 about?
ISO 15192 specifies the determination of chromium in soil and waste materials by alkaline digestion and ion chromatography with spectrophotometric detection. ISO 15192 is used to determine Cr(VI)-mass fractions in solids higher than 0,1 mg/kg.
Note: In the case of reducing or oxidizing waste matrix no valid Cr (VI) content can be reported.
Who is ISO 15192 for?
ISO 15192 on determination of chromium in soil and waste is useful for:
- Ecologists and conservationists
- Geologists
- Agriculture department officials
- Soil testing laboratories
Why should you use ISO 15192?
ISO 15192 describes an alkaline digestion procedure for extracting chromium from soluble, adsorbed and precipitated forms of chromium compounds in solid waste materials and soil to quantify the content of chromium in a solid matrix.
ISO 15192 provides a method for the determination of chromium in solid material by alkaline digestion and ion chromatography with spectrophotometric detection.
What’s changed since the last update?
BS EN ISO 15192:2021 supersedes EN 15192:2006, which is withdrawn. BS EN ISO 15192:2021 includes some editorial changes with respect to EN 15192:2006. The text has been editorially revised, including updating of references.
