Who is ISO 17702 - testing water resistance for uppers for?
ISO 17702 on testing water resistance for uppers is useful for:
- Footwear manufacturers
- Footwear manufacturers
- Footwear designers
- Research and development personnel
- Quality control personnel
Why should you use ISO 17702 - testing water resistance for uppers?
When operating in wet conditions without water-resistant footwear, users can develop problems such as blisters. Constant exposure to water can make feet more susceptible to infections. When designing footwear that is meant to be worn in wet conditions, testing to ensure water resistance is required.
ISO 17702 provides you with a test to assess the water-resistance of footwear uppers. ISO 17702 guides you with assessing the stiffness, absorption and transmission after the footwear has been exposed to wet conditions.
