What is ISO 18314-1-Colorimetry analysis about?
ISO 18314 discusses analytical colorimetry. A colorimetric analysis is the technique normally used to determine the concentration of the analyte by comparing the colour changes of the solution. ISO 18314-1 is the first part of ISO 18314 multi-series and discusses colour measurement. In quality assurance, colour measurement and spectrophotometry are essential in determining a product's colour consistency and accuracy.
Luminescent paint films, transparent paint films, and translucent paint films (for example for display or lamp glass), retroreflecting paint films (for example for traffic signs), and metallic paint films are outside the scope of this part of ISO 18314.
Who is ISO 18314-1-Colorimetry analysis for?
ISO 18314-1 on analytical colorimetry is useful for:
- Paint Manufacturers
- Automotive Industries
- Textile industries
- Plastics manufacturer
- Packaging material manufacturers
- Quality control personnel
- Interior designer
Why should you use ISO 18314-1-Colorimetry analysis?
Colorimetric analysis is a technique normally used to determine the concentration of the analyte by comparing the colour changes of the solution. The method in ISO 18314-1 is used for determining the colour measurement of a paint film. This method is only applicable to paint films that appear to be uniform of one colour, i.e., monochromatic when examined with normal vision. Paint films that do not completely hide a non-transparent substrate represent an opaque system and can be measured by using the procedure in this part of ISO 18314. ISO 18314-1 helps you with the manufacturing of high-quality paints and paints surface which help in the product's colour consistency and accuracy and gives your customers a better-finished product.
