What is ISO 18314-3-Colorimetric analysis about?
ISO 18314 discusses analytical colorimetry. Colorimetric analysis is a technique normally used to determine the concentration of the analyte by comparing the colour changes of the solution.
ISO 18314-3 is the third part of ISO 18314 that discusses special indices. This part of ISO 18314 is applicable to tristimulus values and chromaticity coordinates calculated using colour-matching functions of the CIE 1964 standard colourimetric system.
Who is ISO 18314-3-Colorimetric analysis for?
ISO 18314-3 on analytical colorimetry is useful for:
- Paint Manufacturers
- Automotive Industries
- Textile industries
- Plastics manufacturer
- Packaging material manufacturers
- Quality control personnel
- Interior designer
Why should you use ISO 18314-3-Colorimetric analysis?
Colorimetric analysis is a technique normally used to determine the concentration of the analyte by comparing the colour changes of the solution. ISO 18314-3 specifies different methods of calculating special indices, that are generally used to describe the lightness respectively jetness of samples including chroma or hue within one colour coordinate.
ISO 18314-3 can be used for the specification of colour stimuli perceived as belonging to a reflecting or transmitting object, where a one-dimensional value is required. ISO 18314-3 helps you get quality finish of paints.
