Why should you use ISO 21597-2?
The need for having an information container for document delivery came from the involvement of various parties within the construction industry.
Due to the involvement of various parties handling multiple documents at a time became more chaotic and stressful.
Information deliveries are often used to handle multiple documents as one information delivery. An ability to specify relationships using links between information elements in separate documents contributes significantly to the value of document delivery.
In these deliveries, the composition of a package is based on the requirement of the process and specific functional purpose.
ISO 21597-2 provides guidance to add information value to the container which makes it more understandable and clearer.
ISO 21597-2 can enhance the container which contains the documents for delivery.
Under ISO 21597-2, the defined link types are used to enhance the use of the container by allowing the addition of relationships that are human interpretable to provide greater clarity about the links.
The link types provide the ability to express comparison, ordering, and dependency relationships between the documents and entities within documents that form part of the payload of a container.
