What is ISO 22632–Adhesives about?
ISO 22632 specifies a test method to measure the adhesion of a resilient or textile floor covering or wall covering bonded to a given substrate under shear forces. The term “wall covering” does not include any type of wallpaper.
BS EN 17224 specifies a test method for determining the shear strength of adhesive bonds at both ambient temperature and elevated temperature.
Who is ISO 22632–Adhesives for?
ISO 22632 on adhesives is relevant to:
- Manufacturers of adhesives
- Civil engineers and architects
- Chemical engineers
- Any entity responsible for testing and quality of adhesives
- Flooring industry
Why should you use ISO 22632–Adhesives?
Adhesives are any nonmetallic liquid or powder that binds two separate items together and resists their separation. The most common types of adhesives are glues, cement, and pastes.
BS EN 17224 provides methods to determine the shear strength of adhesives using shear test at elevated temperatures that are used for floorings and wall coverings.
ISO 22632 covers all significant requirements, methods and is used in floorings and wall coverings.
Overall, BS EN 17224 is a comprehensive guide to provide methods for determining the shear strength, so users will gain a comprehensive understanding of the quality of adhesives, durability and strength.
